Description
I would call myself an ‘Absorber.’ As I walk through life I absorb inspirations from the various patterns even as mundane as the corner of an old building, the veins on a bright green leaf, wrinkles on the fabric or the textures on a wall. They all stay with me, conglomerate and merge in my art. It's an expression of my fascination for Geometry of life. I see everything as patterns and forms through my eye. I don’t give up for my art, I incorporate! My brush and my strokes are an extension of my heart and my restless & turbulent mind. At the end of each piece of art, I find my peace, equilibrium and justice in the fusion of the world without and the world within. I lost my art when i was confined to a subject. I found my freedom in spontaneity.
I enjoy painting with no boundaries. When I paint, I lose myself and find myself too. It’s a trance. The colours I choose, the textures I make, and the tools I use, seem to come to me as a natural selection for that particular piece of work. My deep connection with my art is apparent to me and is my raison d’être (reason of being). But I am still exploring this connection, its interpretation and its meaning as people ask me. Something that is not obvious something abstract, something that I am still finding, something that has come out of my sponged up heart, is how I see my art.
Space Dilution Series is a homecoming series for me. I have made these paintings in my hilly hometown of Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. This series has taken shape from its surroundings, people, nature and old memories. This series is as solid as it’s diluted, as thick as it's translucent and as lively as it's abstract.
