Description
The Ramp: The phrase ‘ramp walk’ is associated with the glamorous world of fashion shows and therefore an image of a leg is designated as the symbol to represent a fashion model in the painting titled ‘The Ramp’. A weird creature formed partly by the scaly body of a crocodile and a tail in the form of a ramp is propped up by four legs walking on a road divider. In this way the artist strips off the glamour associated with the models. The legs shown on the ramp and a group of legs waiting in a corner for their turn for a ramp walk juxtaposed with the weird creature reveals the dreary life of the models.
