Description
Trapped
The tree to represent the physical and spiritual transformation and liberation, of union and fertility. The tree is often seen as a symbol of femininity due to its long branches and flowing leaves; the trunk is seen as masculine and physically strong. She is trapped inside this strong tree that holds her to fight back yet also keeps her trapped. Trapped amongst the jungle in her mind and vulnerable to the world around her. Red the colour of power, passion, love and revenge in contrast with yellow which symbolises optimism and hope. Blue that can be seen is the sadness and calmness that she feels and black for the darkness within and around her. A tree that grows upside down tells us of her world turned upside down and yet there are a few flowers which bring a ray of hope and freshness that she will fight for.
