Symmetry is a depiction of Buddha, in a state of equilibrium and equipoise. This has been accentuated by employing two canvasses merging together in a Diptych fashion, to create one image. The near perfect symmetry of Buddha’s Calm face, one half each on the two canvasses endeavours to evoke a sense of balance and harmony amidst opposing forces and influences; just like the Ying and Yang, where two opposing forces merge together to form a perfect harmony. That is the core essence of this Diptych. This work of art endeavours to initiate in the viewer a desire to achieve harmony and balance in all situations of their lives.
