Description
Nitai’s paintings are spontaneous and consistent. In each of his paintings there is a lively movement. They reflect a unity in diversity, hence not monotonous but harmonious. The various figure forms, style, colour combination etc., is his own chemistry. They are free from academics. As an artist his basic aim is a create a bridge between our spiritual past, rich cultural heritage on the one side and the modern day materialistic world on the other side, and through this link he likes the viewers to focus on the unknown future. In short he says that Philosophy is called “view of life” and Religion is described as a “way of life - an art of living”. Through his creations Nitai attempts a wedding of these two aspects of life as perfectly as possible. For this, Nitai adopts; various folk art concepts of different region and country and uses them at ease in his own style with figure drawings, colour combinations, sometimes simple pencil sketch etc., without disturbing the essential nature or the fundamental aspects of the various folk styles he adopts.
