About Artist

Runa's creative journey began when she took up the paintbrush at a very tender age of six, and watching her play with colors was put under the tutelage of an accomplished Kolkata artist - Santanu Mitra. Being born and brought up in north Kolkata she used to be a regular at Baghbazar Ghat on the banks of Ganga, so painting fluid landscapes came naturally to her.
