About Artist

Anita Kulkarni was born in New Delhi in 1965. Her childhood was spent in learning music & dance from her father the world renowned Kathak exponent Padma Vibushan Guru Pt. Birju Maharaj. She received her formal training in art by completing her B.F.A in Sculpture from the College of Art, Delhi University in 1988. She was awarded the Gold medal from College of Art, Delhi in 1988.
